Create multiple looks.
The more outfits you bring to your photoshoot, the more options and styling flexibility you’ll have within your session. You’ll want at least 3 outfits or multiple combinations to create different looks. Here is a set of tips. Think about photos your parents will love, what you like to do, and what are your activities:
- Parent photos: This is the one you know your parents will love showing off for years to come. Think of a crisp shirt and great jeans, with nice shoes and classic accessories for a timeless look.
- Your Choice: What are the things you do? You may bring along your musical instrument, a paint palette, or another object that shows off your most important personal interest. On my senior photo shooting, I brought a large video camera and multiple videotapes because I loved videography and photography.
- Your Activities: These make up a big part of your high school experience. You can bring a jersey, costume or favorite items from your club to commemorate your achievements
Take Care of Final Details and To-Dos
- Make sure your clothes are clean and wrinkle-free.
- Make sure you put shoes, accessories, jewelry, props, styling tools, etc. in one place.
- Double-check your scheduled session time on your postcard.
